Overview

The Dietitian supports FMCNA's mission by providing nutritional services to patients, ensuring they achieve optimal nutritional status and improve clinical outcomes.

In Short

• Provides nutritional services for in-center and home patients.
• Assesses patients' knowledge of diet and kidney disease.
• Participates in interdisciplinary healthcare team activities.
• Calculates diet prescriptions according to established standards.
• Maintains accurate documentation of patient information.
• Implements and monitors nutrition therapy plans.
• Collaborates with team members on various patient care aspects.
• Participates in quality assurance and improvement activities.
• Maintains dietetic registration and continuing education.
• Travels between assigned facilities as needed.

Requirements

• Registered Dietitian credential required.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in clinical nutrition.
• Renal experience preferred.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimum supervision.
• Basic computer skills are necessary.
