Digital Designer, Lifestyle (Temporary) - Remote

Overview

We are looking for a digital graphic designer to join the lifestyle team, including Eater, Punch, and Thrillist, at Vox Media. We’re looking for someone who is innovative, tenacious, grounded, and excited by the idea of creating thoughtful and intriguing visuals that complement our storytelling across mediums.

In Short

• Own design development of onsite and off-platform visual assets.
• Execute static and animated social design for various brands.
• Implement brand identity and refresh template designs.
• Collaborate with editorial and design teams.
• Participate in design reviews and advocate for accessible design.
• Maintain brand standards and a tidy workspace.
• Support commitment to representation in design.
• Stay updated on social media trends.
• Produce a substantial output of content efficiently.
• Curiosity towards food journalism is a plus.

Requirements

• 1+ years of experience as a professional graphic designer.
• Fluency in Adobe Creative Suite; knowledge of Ceros, Sketch, Figma, Canva.
• Experience designing in ESPs (e.g., Mailchimp, Klaviyo).
• Strong understanding of visual design principles.
• Ability to work within timelines and adapt to changes.
• Positive, collaborative attitude with critical thinking skills.
• Prior experience in animation and video integration is a plus.
• Knowledge of HTML, CSS is a plus.
• Strong communication skills.
• Investment in food journalism is a plus.
