Senior Systems & Economy Designer (Mobile F2P - Licensed IP) - Remote

Overview

UserWise is developing a new mobile game based on a globally recognized entertainment IP, blending mass‑market accessibility with deep, long‑term progression. We’re looking for a Systems & Economy Designer to own the design, balance, and evolution of the game’s progression and economy.

In Short

• Design and maintain the end-to-end economy, including currencies, rewards, sinks, inflation control, and progression pacing.
• Model player progression across early, mid, and long-term play.
• Co-own monetization design with the Creative Director / Lead Game Designer.
• Build and maintain spreadsheet-based models (Excel / Google Sheets).
• Identify and mitigate economy risks such as inflation and stagnation.
• Design frameworks for events, challenges, and recurring content.
• Monitor economy health signals and propose tuning updates.
• Collaborate with engineers for efficient system implementation.
• Produce clear design documentation to support implementation.
• Work closely with the Creative Director to align systems with the overall vision.

Requirements

• Experience in game design, particularly in economy and progression systems.
• Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Excel and Google Sheets.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Experience in LiveOps and long-term system design.
• Understanding of player motivations and monetization strategies.
• Ability to produce clear documentation and design specifications.
• Experience in balancing and tuning game systems.
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to iterate on designs based on player feedback.
• Passion for mobile gaming and understanding of market trends.
