Overview

The Educational Equality Institute (TEEI) is seeking highly accomplished and mission-driven professionals to join its Board of Directors. As a Board Member, you will play a pivotal role in advancing TEEI’s mission to expand access to education, professional development, and mentorship for refugees, displaced individuals, and underserved communities, particularly women and girls.

In Short

  • Remote position with a commitment of 5–10 hours per quarter.
  • Contribute or help raise $50,000–$100,000 annually.
  • Provide governance, financial oversight, and strategic leadership.
  • Leverage your network for corporate sponsorships and major donor contributions.
  • Participate in at least one board committee.
  • Attend quarterly board meetings (virtual or in-person).
  • Advocate for education and nonprofit leadership.
  • Support TEEI’s growth strategy and financial sustainability.
  • Represent TEEI at industry events and networking opportunities.
  • Provide mentorship and strategic counsel to TEEI’s leadership team.

  • Experience in fundraising and development.
  • Knowledge of nonprofit governance standards.
