Overview

The African Climate Foundation (ACF) is the first and only African-led climate change re-granting organisation on the continent. Through a combination of grant making, fellowships, transformational research, technical assistance, coalition building and advocacy the ACF seeks to support interventions at the nexus of climate change, and development that have the greatest potential to deliver long-term socio-economic transformation and inclusive development.

In Short

• Support the strategic development and implementation of ACF’s Nigeria Programme.
• Manage grant portfolios and oversee sector-relevant research.
• Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
• Support fundraising initiatives and prepare funding proposals.
• Ensure effective monitoring and evaluation of programme delivery.
• Contribute to ACF’s research outputs and knowledge-sharing initiatives.
• Provide technical guidance to senior management and stakeholders.
• Collaborate with other programme staff for cross-programme learning.
• Act as a representative of the Nigeria Programme.
• Stay informed of trends related to sustainable development in Nigeria.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in economics, environmental sciences, or related field.
• 6-8 years of experience in programme design and management.
• Experience with government institutions and large-scale projects.
• Strong experience in managing grants.
• Familiarity with policy advocacy in Nigeria.
• Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent writing and communication skills.
• Fluency in English.
• Strong organizational and time management abilities.
• High levels of professionalism and attention to detail.
