Overview

As a Consultant in Restoration and Remediation at Surefire Cyber, you will play a crucial role in helping clients recover from cyber incidents, applying technical expertise to restore compromised systems and implement remediation strategies.

In Short

• Support post-incident recovery efforts in collaboration with DFIR teams.
• Restore compromised systems to pre-incident state, including data recovery and system configuration.
• Assist in developing and executing tailored remediation plans.
• Reimage, rebuild, and reconfigure endpoints and servers.
• Troubleshoot network issues and resolve connectivity problems.
• Document all actions taken and technical findings.
• Participate in after-hours support to ensure 24/7 incident response coverage.
• Collaborate with forensic analysts to support response efforts.
• Communicate effectively with clients during urgent cyber events.
• Contribute to the collection of digital artifacts and forensic evidence.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in IT, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
• Foundational knowledge of Windows, Linux, and MacOS environments.
• Experience with firewalls, VPNs, Active Directory, and endpoint security tools.
• Understanding of cyber incident impact and attacker techniques.
• Strong technical troubleshooting skills and proactive attitude.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage competing tasks in high-pressure situations.
