As an iOS developer at Sporty, you will be involved in the greenfield development of one of Africa’s most popular iOS apps, contributing to its expansion into global territories.

In Short

Develop consumer-facing iOS applications using Swift.
Collaborate with Product Managers, Designers, and Backend Engineers.
Build end-to-end features of the app.
Prepare and maintain architectural documents.
Participate in code reviews.
Mentor less experienced team members.
Work with REST APIs and push notifications.
Focus on performance optimisation and security.
Communicate effectively with business and technical teams.
Experience with remote teams is beneficial.

Requirements

2+ years of iOS development experience.
Solid foundation in software engineering fundamentals.
Deep understanding of multi-threading and memory management.
Excellent problem-solving skills.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Experience with mobile video playback technologies is a bonus.
Knowledge of reactive programming is a plus.
Familiarity with AVFoundation and CoreData is advantageous.
Experience with TCP/IP socket is a bonus.
