Join our dynamic team as a Center of the Plate Poultry Buyer, where you will play a crucial role in sourcing and procuring high-quality poultry products that meet our company's standards for excellence. In this position, you will be part of the team focused on working directly with vendors and sales daily to ensure all products are in stock at market-fair prices. Collaborating closely with suppliers, negotiating contracts, and ensuring a consistent supply of products to support our operations. Your expertise will contribute to our commitment to delivering exceptional dining experiences. Commodity Buyers oversee 25MM pounds or $100MM or more in annual purchases for the company.

In Short

• Source and procure high-quality poultry products.
• Work directly with vendors and sales teams.
• Negotiate contracts and pricing.
• Maintain stock levels and inventory values.
• Travel required (15% expected).
• Conduct vendor reviews at least twice a year.
• Train fellow buyers on processes and products.
• Strategize long-term buying to exceed profit targets.
• Develop and grow vendor partnerships.
• Contribute to exceptional dining experiences.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Two years of commodity level purchasing experience, preferably in proteins.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Strong negotiation and purchasing skills.
• Ability to multi-task and communicate effectively.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
