Reading Tutor - Remote

Overview

OpenLiteracy is seeking passionate, certified educators to join our tutoring team and make a real difference in children's literacy outcomes across the country by providing 1:1 tutoring for students in grades K-6.

In Short

• Fully remote position with no lesson planning required.
• Part-time contract role (1099) with 10-20 hours/week.
• Starting pay of $28/hour with additional compensation for no-shows and meetings.
• Focus on building rapport with students through consistent 1:1 sessions.

• Must have current or expired K–6 teaching certification.

Requirements

• Current or expired K–6 teaching certification.
• K-6 classroom teaching experience focusing on reading.
• Strong grounding in the Science of Reading.
• Available for at least 3 hours during peak hours (Monday-Thursday).
• Commitment to at least 10 hours per week.
• Reliable computer, high-speed internet, and quiet workspace.
• U.S. work authorization and mailing address.
