ASL US-Based Freelance Interpreter - Remote

Overview

We are currently looking for both VRI and Onsite US-Based ASL interpreter. An ASL interpreter will provide sign language interpretation services in a variety of settings, empowering individuals to advocate for themselves and their needs.

In Short

• Provide sign language interpretation services.
• Work with individuals who are deaf, deafened, hard of hearing, and/or oral.
• Effectively interpret between ASL and spoken English.
• Maintain compliance with licensure and certification requirements.
• Adhere to the NAD-RID Code of Professional Conduct.
• Complete assigned tasks and projects promptly.
• Learn and implement new technologies quickly.
• Work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Complete additional duties as assigned.
• Possess necessary equipment for remote work.

Requirements

• 3 years’ experience as an interpreter (preferred).
• Associate’s or bachelor’s degree (preferred).
• Interpreter certification.
• Understanding of deaf culture and social experiences.
• Proficient computer skills.
• Excellent written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and within a team.
