Overview

The Research Associate will work within Octus’ Covenants team in the London office, focusing on providing research support on US leveraged finance markets.

In Short

• Support the Octus Covenants team with research on US leveraged loans and high yield bonds.
• Establish knowledge of legal and financial databases.
• Draft editorial content with guidance from legal experts.
• Assist with data collation and collection processes.
• Generate actionable insights and statistics.
• Check facts and proofread documents for accuracy.
• Support sales and marketing efforts, including organizing events.
• Lead or assist with administrative and data-driven projects.

Requirements

• Minimum university degree and some working experience in a research role.
• Basic/intermediate Excel skills for data visualization.
• Able to interpret raw data and manage large information sets.
• Interest in financial/capital markets and law/finance.
• Experience in high yield or leveraged finance is advantageous.
• Outstanding organizational and time management skills.
• Proactive team player eager to learn.
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize effectively.
