The Senior Manager, Exploration Technology Lab leads the Exploration Technology Lab’s marine focused portfolio, overseeing the development of hardware and software technology-based training and products for National Geographic Explorers.

In Short

Lead program execution of ocean-related projects.
Manage collaborations between technology-related Explorer-led projects.
Develop new technology-based Explorer opportunities.
Create fundraising assets and grant applications.
Represent the Lab's work with internal and external stakeholders.
Promote marine technology innovation and collaboration.
Support Explorer-led data analysis and publication activities.
Manage onboarding process for Explorer cohorts.
Conduct assessments of existing programs for improvements.
Lead annual planning of ocean portfolio activities.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in a marine science-related field.
7+ years of experience in marine conservation technology.
Strong network within academia and conservation groups.
Advanced knowledge in science and technology integration.
Excellent leadership and communication skills.
Experience writing funding proposals.
Ability to manage multiple projects effectively.
Experience with underwater robotics and marine expeditions.
Experience in data science and technology development.
Familiarity with project management and CRM tools.
