Tool Design Engineer I - Remote

Overview

Sonaca North America is seeking a Tool Design Engineer I to support the Tool Engineering team by working on portions of larger projects, creating CAD models, and conducting stress and deflection calculations.

In Short

• Design and develop tooling for manufacturing requirements.
• Create CAD models and tool concept sketches.
• Review designs of flight hardware components.
• Assist in assembly methodology for flight hardware.
• Investigate and verify tool concepts for feasibility.
• Incorporate safety and regulatory requirements in designs.
• Work independently and as part of a team.
• Utilize limited experience and judgment to accomplish goals.
• General supervision provided.
• Perform other duties as required.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field preferred.
• 0-4 years of experience in Aerospace Industry or related field.
• Knowledge of MS Office products required.
• Experience with CATIA V5 and NX software is a plus.
