Infrastructure Security Design Engineer - Remote

Overview

As an Infrastructure Security Engineer, you will apply your developing expertise in network security, infrastructure technologies, and security controls to support the design, implementation, and maintenance of secure infrastructure solutions.

In Short

• Assist in implementing network security controls including firewalls, IPS/IDS, and proxies.
• Configure basic network security policies and access control lists.
• Support network segmentation implementations and VLAN configurations.
• Assist with VPN setup and secure remote access solutions.
• Support deployment and configuration of security technologies including SIEM and EDR.
• Create and maintain accurate technical documentation for security implementations.
• Perform initial triage of security incidents and escalate appropriately.
• Monitor security alerts and events from SIEM and security tools.
• Apply security hardening standards to servers and workstations.
• Perform vulnerability scans and analyze results.

Requirements

• Basic understanding of network security principles.
• Familiarity with firewall concepts and basic configuration.
• Knowledge of common security technologies.
• Basic scripting skills for automation tasks.
• Understanding of Windows and Linux operating system security.
• Awareness of AWS, Azure, or GCP security concepts.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Experience with SIEM platforms is a plus.
• Security+ certification is mandatory.
• Network+ or CCNA certification is required or in progress.
