SAP ABAP Developer - Remote

In Short

• Design, develop, and enhance custom ABAP programs across core SAP modules.
• Focus on Materials Management (MM) and Production Planning (PP) functionalities.
• Implement and maintain modularized ABAP logic using Remote Function Calls (RFC).
• Develop and troubleshoot IDoc interfaces for data integration.
• Create or extend OData services to support Fiori applications.
• Optimize ABAP code and database access for SAP S/4HANA.
• Support legacy integration and transition efforts in SAP ECC 6.0 environments.
• Perform technical design reviews and collaborate with functional consultants.
• Participate in system integration testing, UAT support, and production issue resolution.
• Ensure adherence to coding standards and secure development guidelines.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in SAP ABAP development.
• Proficient in classic ABAP development including function modules and enhancements.
• Experienced in RFC and IDoc-based integrations.
• Strong background in manufacturing process chains and ERP workflows.
• Skilled in refactoring legacy Z-transactions for S/4HANA.
• Familiar with OData and SAP Gateway.
• Knowledge of S/4HANA performance optimization is a plus.
• Fluent in English; German is a plus but not required.
