Senior Nuclear Core Design Engineer - Remote

Overview

Holtec International seeks highly experienced applicants for a senior-level position in its nuclear analysis group to support the continued development and licensing of the SMR-300 reactor through its subsidiary, SMR LLC. This contractor role is a fully remote opportunity and is ideal for individuals with significant technical expertise and experience in core design for pressurized water reactors (PWRs), particularly Small Modular Reactors (SMRs).

Requirements

• BS degree in Nuclear Engineering or related field with 7 years of experience
• MS degree with 6 years of experience or PhD with 4 years of experience
• Expertise in PWR core design
• Experience with CASMO/SIMULATE
• Familiarity with NRC regulations
• Strong communication skills
• U.S. work authorization required
• Proficiency in Python for simulation automation (desirable)
• Experience with MCNP and S5K (desirable)
• Knowledge of licensing methodologies (desirable)
