Overview

The Night Shift Dispatcher plays a crucial role in ensuring the timely delivery of goods from the Wiri depot, focusing on efficient planning and communication to optimize transport operations.

In Short

• Efficiently plan freight and dedicated services from depot to destination.
• Pro-active communicate operational issues, such as incidents and delivery delays.
• Create delivery manifests or run sheets for the allocated runs.
• Arrange and manage overflow volumes as required to meet delivery times.
• Ensure that all source and transit documentation is completed correctly.
• Prepare consignment notes and job bookings for pallet rated movements.

Requirements

• A minimum of 1+ years' experience in transport dispatch.
• Knowledge of transport management systems; experience with Truck Mate is a huge advantage.
• A strong knowledge of how FMCG works in New Zealand.
• Strong planning, organising, record-maintaining, and time management skills.
• Sound geographical knowledge of Auckland and NZ.
