In Short

• Edit stories from across all sections of HuffPost
• Edit breaking news, liveblogs, push alerts, and video scripts
• Independently write polished, compelling headlines and social copy
• Assist with photo and video selection
• Help maintain a consistent voice for the site
• Take on temporary additional tasks and responsibilities
• Share knowledge through presentations or trainings
• Participate in recruitment or networking events
• Work in a remote environment
• Full-time schedule from Tuesday to Saturday

Requirements

• Sharp news judgment and high editorial standards
• Knowledge of AP Style
• Expert command of grammar
• Ability to make bigger-picture fixes to stories
• Breaking news experience or willingness to learn
• Willingness to work with reporters of all skill levels
• Enthusiasm for various story types
• Ability to make tough editorial decisions
• 2+ years of editing experience at a national outlet
