Overview

The Bookkeeper ensures all accounting and financial practices are managed with precision and supports the financial stability of Downtown Dog Lounge, a dog boarding and daycare center in Seattle.

In Short

• Maintain the integrity of the accounting system and oversee invoicing and payroll.
• Manage accounts receivable, billing, and collections.
• Perform accurate accounting of business transactions in QuickBooks Enterprise.
• Ensure timely processing of semi-monthly payroll.
• Partner with Operations for commission calculations and reporting.
• Complete month-end close processes and reconcile accounts.
• Deliver accounting support, reporting, and forecasting.
• Document business processes and accounting policies.
• Ensure compliance with government reporting requirements.
• Perform specialized accounting tasks as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
• 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience.
• Experience with intercompany accounting.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to interact with vendors and customers.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Experience with financial systems and advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
