Transition Assistance Advisor (TAA) - Remote

Overview

The Transition Assistance Advisor (TAA) will assist eligible members of the Reserve Components, their families, and Veterans in accessing benefits and healthcare provided under the laws administered by the Secretary of Defense and the Secretary of Veterans Affairs.

In Short

• Provide TAA services to eligible Reserve Component Members and their families.
• Assist with Employment Assistance, Health and Life Insurance, and Financial Assistance.
• Perform outreach services to inform and assist eligible members.
• Coordinate with Veterans Affairs and other resources for required information.
• Participate in mobilization and demobilization processes.
• Research and resolve transition-related issues.
• Coordinate with law enforcement and mental health authorities for crisis intervention.
• Provide information to leadership regarding Veterans Affairs entitlements.
• Not responsible for managing day-to-day operations of reintegration programs.
• Assist with reintegration activities for returning Reserve Component members.

Requirements

• Associate degree in social services, human resources, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Working knowledge of military protocols.
• Prior experience with Veterans Affairs programs preferred.
• Must be a U.S. citizen with strong writing and verbal skills.
• Must be able to pass and maintain Tier 1 clearance.
• Travel required, 75%-90% throughout the CONUS.
