Overview

The Painter for Corewell Health is responsible for the Planned and Corrective Maintenance of hospital facilities, applying various finishes to protect and decorate interior and exterior surfaces.

In Short

• Travel required throughout Corewell Health East region.
• Responsible for painting and maintaining hospital interiors and exteriors.
• Preps surfaces and applies paints, stains, and coatings.
• Completes cleaning of tools and equipment post-job.
• Works with other hospital trade sections to coordinate tasks.
• Must comply with safety training and hospital protocols.
• Maintains a clean and safe work area.
• May need to work extended hours for priority repairs.
• Handles minor renovations and alterations as needed.
• Promotes effective teamwork and communication.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Valid Michigan Driver's License.
• Preferred 3 years of painting or related experience.
• Ability to read blueprints and specifications.
• Strong understanding of safety procedures.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Good decision-making skills regarding materials and equipment.
• Willingness to accept additional responsibilities as assigned.
• Effective communication skills.
