Overview

The Housekeeper performs a variety of routine tasks within the Nutrition Services Department, ensuring cleanliness and organization in food service areas while adhering to established practices and procedures.

• Prepares and maintains serving lines and food items.
• Assembles cold food items and ensures proper storage.
• Serves food and replenishes items as necessary.
• Cleans food stations and major equipment after use.
• Handles cash register operations and balances cash.
• Performs routine and heavy-duty cleaning tasks.
• Delivers food carts and assembles patient trays.
• Participates in quality monitoring activities.
• Maintains sanitary conditions and reports equipment malfunctions.
• Works collaboratively within the Nutrition Services team.

Requirements

• High School Student Employees preferred.
• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to work as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and cleanliness.
• Ability to handle cash and operate a cash register.
• Good communication skills.
• Ability to lift and transport materials safely.
• Willingness to work variable shifts and weekends.
