Accounts Payable Technician - Remote

Overview

We are seeking an Accounts Payable Technician who will report to the Chief Accountant and work within the accounting team at the company's headquarters located in Les Cèdres, near Vaudreuil-Dorion.

In Short

• Verify invoices before entering them into the accounting system;
• Process various payments by checks, bank transfers, etc.;
• Match invoices with payments, obtain required signatures, and distribute checks;
• Ensure each payment has been previously authorized;
• Respond to various supplier inquiries;
• Reconcile supplier statements and correct discrepancies;
• Find solutions to various encountered situations and take necessary actions;
• Prepare month-end reports;
• Verify supplier banking information before issuing payments;
• Assist during the absence of a team member;
• Reconcile credit card payments.

Requirements

• Hold a DEC in finance, accounting, or a related field;
• Preferably have 2 years of experience in a similar role;
• Be bilingual (French and English, spoken and written);
• Master advanced Excel functions;
• Knowledge of AS400 software is considered an asset;
• Be autonomous, enjoy teamwork, and have good communication skills;
• Be organized;
• Have attention to detail.
