Motion Graphics Designer - Remote

Overview

CACTUS is a remote-first organization and we embrace an accelerate from anywhere culture. You may be required to travel to our Mumbai office based on business requirements or for company/team events.

As a Motion Graphics Designer, you will be responsible for creating visually engaging motion content including explainer videos, animated social media posts, product showcases, marketing reels, animated assets for presentations, and more. You will collaborate with internal teams and external vendors (such as video editors, sound designers, and voice-over artists) to ensure animations are delivered to specification, aligned with timelines, and meet creative objectives.

• Design and produce engaging 2D animations, motion graphics, and animated visual assets for digital platforms.
• Develop storyboards, animatics, and visual concepts to communicate animation direction.
• Interpret creative briefs, brand guidelines, and client requirements.
• Collaborate closely with designers, marketers, developers, and external vendors.
• Ensure consistency in style, tone, and branding across all animations.
• Stay updated with the latest trends, tools, and techniques in animation.
• Manage multiple animation projects simultaneously.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Animation, Motion Design, Visual Communication, Graphic Design, or related fields.
• 2–4 years of proven experience as a 2D Animator or Motion Graphic Designer.
• Proficiency in animation and design tools such as After Effects, Adobe Animate, Illustrator, and Photoshop.
• Strong understanding of motion design principles, storyboarding, and visual storytelling.
• Basic knowledge of video editing (e.g., Premiere Pro).
• Familiarity with UI animation/micro-interactions.
