Senior Transportation Environmental Planner (NEPA) - Remote

Overview

AECOM is seeking a self-motivated Senior Transportation Environmental Planner to join our Environmental Planning and Permitting team, providing technical expertise and managing environmental tasks for public and private transportation and infrastructure clients throughout our US West Region.

In Short

• Provide subject matter expertise in regulatory compliance processes.
• Manage and prepare NEPA documents for transportation projects.
• Oversee environmental technical studies and report preparation.
• Facilitate public and agency outreach.
• Oversee all aspects of environmental projects including cost estimates and budgets.
• Work with an interdisciplinary team of technical specialists.
• Provide support and mentorship to junior staff.
• Assist with proposals and business development.

Requirements

• BA/BS Degree in environmental sciences, planning, geography, or related fields and 6+ years of relevant experience.
• Master's degree in related fields preferred.
• 12+ years of relevant experience in project management, NEPA, or CEQA compliance preferred.
• Knowledge of environmental review and compliance requirements.
• Technical background in NEPA disciplines.
• Demonstrated technical writing and communication skills.
