Overview

AECOM is seeking a Lead Microgrid Solution Architect to join the Engineering Center of Excellence within the Energy practice, focusing on clean energy initiatives.

In Short

• Lead engineering execution on distributed energy resources projects.
• Perform engineering calculations for construction deliverables.
• Support the development of designs, specifications, and test procedures.
• Evaluate feasibility of microgrid systems at client facilities.
• Produce conceptual designs incorporating various energy resources.
• Develop financial models for microgrid revenue generation.
• Collaborate with technical leads for integrated energy solutions.
• Participate in client meetings and support business development.
• Work on design schedules and budgets with project teams.
• Support renewable and decentralized energy projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 8+ years of experience in power generation engineering.
• Experience in utility-scale renewable and battery storage systems.
• Professional engineering (PE) licensure preferred.
• Leadership/supervisory experience preferred.
• Proficient with DER interconnect standards.
• Experience with power system modeling tools.
• Knowledge of utility practices and industry codes.
• Strong communication skills.
• Field construction and commissioning experience.
