Freelance Medical Editor for Social Media - Remote

Overview

As the Freelance Medical Editor with 10Pearls Studio, you will be responsible for ensuring that social posts for our pharmaceutical client are developed with a high level of quality regarding content, organization, clarity, accuracy, format, style, and consistency. You are skilled in and perform all levels of editing, including copyediting, fact-checking, proofreading, styling, and layout review. This is a remote, work-from-home opportunity approximately 6 hours a week.

In Short

• Copyedit social posts to ensure consistency with the client’s medical website.
• Edit medical social posts and collaborate with colleagues for factual accuracy.
• Proofread designed posts to ensure they match the approved copy.
• Collaborate with creative and account teams to ensure high quality.
• Participate in brainstorming sessions for quarterly social content.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in English, communications, journalism, or health sciences.
• 3-5 years of professional medical/science editing experience.
• Healthcare communications agency experience preferred.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong medical editing skills and knowledge of AMA Manual of Style.
• Understanding of grammar rules and medical terminology.
• Strong time management and organizational skills.
• Proficiency with Google Docs and Adobe Acrobat.
• Understanding of social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, YouTube).
